Daniel Marti concentrates his practice on the protection, management, and enforcement of intellectual property assets in the United States and abroad. He regularly advises clients in connection with intellectual property-based transactions. Mr. Marti works closely with clients and corporate team members in structuring IP audits and due diligence investigations, and providing strategic IP counseling domestically and internationally on numerous commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity investments, research and development agreements, technology sharing arrangements, strategic alliances, licenses and distribution agreements, across a wide variety of industries.
He has represented clients in a wide range of cases involving trademarks, false advertising, unfair competition, copyrights, trade secrets, cybersquatting and computer fraud and abuse matters before various U.S. federal courts, as well as the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Mr. Marti has extensive experience in the arena of international intellectual property disputes, representing clients’ interests in various countries around the world, with a primary emphasis in Latin America and Europe.
