Yendelela Neely Anderson concentrates her practice on employment litigation and counseling. Her primary focuses are discrimination, occupational safety and health, and wage and hour issues. She has also done extensive work regarding interference with and infringement of Employee Retirement Income Security Act and plan rights. Her experience includes representing multiple clients in class action litigation and substantial interaction with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and various state Equal Employment Opportunity agencies.  

Ms. Anderson has successfully defended a variety of clients ranging in size from 10 employees to more than 20,000 employees against discrimination/retaliation/harassment cases under federal and state statutes. She has obtained dismissal of numerous state and federal claims on summary judgment. She has also helped numerous clients achieve beneficial results from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, including dismissal of citations. In addition, Ms. Anderson has done substantial research writing and presenting on key and developing issues in the employment law arena.

While in law school, Ms. Anderson served as a Staff Editor of the Duke Law & Contemporary Problems Journal and the Community Service Director for the entire Southern Region of the National Black Law Students Association. She received the Duke University School of Law 2006 Award for Outstanding Achievement in Family Law. Ms. Anderson worked on articles dealing with the latest trends in discrimination-colorism and intrarace discrimination as a research assistant.
