He served as lead in-house counsel in numerous major antitrust matters, including two successful landmark United States Supreme Court cases (Twombly and Trinko) and as lead in-house counsel in securities fraud and ERISA litigation. Mr. Walker has also been lead counsel in significant trade secret, non-compete and non-solicitation cases on behalf of employers. He has provided litigation-related advice on compliance with SEC regulations and other laws affecting publicly-traded corporations, including drafting board talking points and disclosure documents. During that time, he was also active in the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), including serving as the Chair of ACC’s Litigation Committee. Because of his experience, he is a frequent speaker on litigation topics, including electronic discovery, privacy, class actions, and litigation management metrics. While with BellSouth, Mr. Walker was Chair of the Legal Department’s Technology Committee and the Professional Development Committee and led a team that implemented a new e-billing and matter management system.
